Gavin Gleeson
Gavin Gleeson (b.1995, Kentucky, USA). MFA from the Royal College of Art, London, UK (2024)
Gleeson describes painting as a way to develop visual chronologies, where personal experiences and current realities merge to create a hybridized worldview. The materials and compositional choices he employs give each work its own distinct meaning and message. He frequently returns to references from his upbringing in Kentucky and his familial ties to Ireland, through which he continues to explore recurring themes of fear, safety, and scale.
His first solo exhibition opens in the fall of 2025.
