About
Founded in 2022 by Saskia Neuman, the gallery represents and exhibits early and mid-career Swedish/Nordic artists, reflecting a generation of new-to-gallery artists, characterizing a generational shift in the Nordic art sphere. In addition, the gallery also works with a handful of internationally established artists. Having taken this steadfast role in representing emerging artists alongside more established artistic practices allows for a foundational layer within the program, giving balance as well as creating an interesting counterpart to the younger practices exhibited.
The program’s focus lays with exponentially concept-driven practices and is curatorially driven overall, balancing commercial elements with critical engagement. The contemporary, research-led, and gallery-as-platform profile is paramount — prioritizing thoughtful presentation, artist development and cross border dialogue. Since its inception the gallery has been very active in the local cultural and creative community by hosting a variety of artist talks and panel discussions, film screenings and performances, while engaging with a young/new collector base as well as more established collectors and collecting bodies.
The gallery’s focus on contemporary visual art spans across predominantly painting, sculpture, large scale installations and new-media work, presenting rotating solo and curated group exhibitions (8-9 per exhibitions per annum), along with participating in Stockholm Art Week and Gallery Weekend Stockholm. The gallery was invited to participate in CHART Art Fair in Copenhagen three months after opening, and Market Art Fair in Stockholm. In addition to the exhibition program, talks/events schedule and fair participation, the gallery engages in various projects with external nonprofit partners.
